get_creator_profile
A creator's baseline — followers, average likes — and their strongest recent videos, so a single video can be judged against their normal.
get_trending_snapshot
The current curated trending snapshot: top videos ranked by how far each travelled past its own creator's usual reach, with the time the snapshot was captured.
get_video_insight
Metrics, reach and hook for one video already in the database, by URL.
list_insight_coverage
What this database covers: platforms, how many videos, and how fresh the newest capture is. Call this first to know whether it can help.
search_trending_videos
Search Imagine Films' social insights database for high-performing short-form videos. Returns real videos with metrics, the time each was captured, and a source URL to cite. Covers TikTok today.

apply_bindings
Work out what every binding means right now and commit it as one new version — elements retimed to their moments, and placed against their subjects. A follow becomes keyframes, so the graphic moves with the person rather than sitting where they once were. Anything that could not be resolved is named in not_done; nothing is dropped silently.
bind_element
Say what an element in the film is ABOUT, rather than where it happens to sit. 'land_on' starts it at a moment, 'span' makes it last exactly as long, 'anchor' places it near a subject and 'follow' keeps it there as the subject moves. Re-analyse the footage later and a bound element moves with it, because the film stored the meaning and not the number.
book_meeting
Send a meeting invitation from the connected Gmail (the one your colleague consented) to the prospect: a real calendar invite with Yes / No / Maybe that lands in their calendar when they accept. Use it when a time has been agreed — on a call, in a reply. Give `start` with the prospect's offset. Needs approval_ref: it is held for Approve. The address goes through the same consent gate as an email. Free.
read_booking_link
The booking link of the person you are working for: a page where a prospect picks a free 30-minute slot in their working hours, read live from their Google calendar, and it is booked with a Meet link. Put it in a reply when they agree to talk. Free.
reply_on_linkedin
Reply to someone in their existing LinkedIn conversation — the answer to what they just wrote, with one clear next step (a time, the booking link). Sent from the LinkedIn account that conversation is on, by its browser, within the day's cap, and it shows in their Hermeas thread. Use it when they have replied; a first message goes through a workflow's LinkedIn step instead. No [placeholders] — fill every fact or ask for it first. Needs approval_ref: it is held for Approve. Free.
build_preparation
A strategy preparation for a deal or a call: the unknowns to resolve first, the framings, the protections, the initiatives. An unknown's rationale is what the answer would change; a protection's is what goes wrong without it. Free.
campaign_status
Every campaign with its enrolled, sent, replied and stopped counts. Free.
check_element_approval_status
Before planning or editing, find out which of a film's elements a person has actually approved. Reads the review status the organisation set in its library — none, in progress, needs review, approved — for the cast of the project the film is filed under, or for element ids you name. If any element is short of approved and the person has not yet said what to do about it, `decision_required` is true: STOP, put the two `options` to them verbatim (continue with them as they are / get approval first), and call again with their `decision`. The answer is remembered per element, per film, for a week — the same question is never asked twice, and a question whose facts have changed is always asked again. Never changes a status; approval is a person's act in the library. Free. Requires an Imagine Films account.
check_sendable
Whether an address may be contacted, and if not, why. This is the only correct way to ask: it refuses a suppressed address, an unverified one, and a person who asked to be erased — three different causes with identical consequences. Free.
classify_reply
What a reply is — interested, not now, wrong person, unsubscribe, an auto-reply, or a bounce. Read from the words and the headers only; nothing is sent, stopped or suppressed by asking. Free.
complete_plan
Carry out a plan. **Passing the plan_id IS the approval** — read the plan and its clashes first. Approving carries out the WHOLE plan, every item, in the order it was written; pass only=true to approve just the one item you named. Maxwell works the checklist one task at a time and ticks each off only when that task actually landed, with the version it produced; a task it cannot do is marked failed with the reason rather than quietly skipped. A plan written against an older version of the film is refused rather than applied to a film it was not written for. Poll read_turn. Requires an Imagine Films account.
compose_film
Generate a film from a written description. Returns immediately with a request_id to poll. Costs credits per minute of output.
create_campaign
A multi-step email sequence, with nobody in it. Step one's delay is ignored and treated as zero — the first message goes when somebody is enrolled. Creating and enrolling are separate calls for exactly that reason. Free.
create_collection
Start a new collection. The description is optional and worth writing: it is where a team says what it means by a name — 'the cut follows the track, never the sentence' — and it is read back when a film is built from anything filed here. Free. Requires an Imagine Films account.
create_execution_plan
Write the plan that would close the gap, and what each item would cost. Every item carries its blast radius in two halves: what it would CLASH with in meaning — a register the film already has, a thing it is already saying — and then the clinical side effects, like an intent left with nothing else carrying it. Read both before approving; they are the point of the card, not decoration. Nothing is edited by this call and nothing will be until you call complete_plan. Requires an Imagine Films account.
describe_footage
What is known about the footage in a composition — which clips have been analysed, by what, and what was found. Call this before promising anything about where or when something happens: a query alone cannot tell a clip nobody has looked at from a clip with nothing in it.
detail_software
What Maxwell knows about a product's software — the product map, and each surface with its purpose, copy and design tokens. Read this BEFORE depositing, so your placement agrees with what a person decided in the panel. Ask for payloads only when you need the pixels; they are large.
due_sends
What may be sent right now, already assigned to mailboxes and already rationed by capacity — halted domains are removed before assignment, so their capacity is never counted. Reading this sends nothing. Free.
edit_video_composition
Change a video composition. Edits apply together or not at all, and land as one version the person can see and revert. Times are integer microseconds; one second is 1000000. You can move and resize things, set type and colour, order and layer them, give them motion in and out, and change the film's own length, rate, shape and ground.
enrol_prospects
Put people into a campaign. THIS STARTS EMAILS TO THEM, so it needs approval_ref — show what is about to be sent, to whom, and get a yes first. Each person passes the consent gate independently; a partial result is normal and every refusal is a real fact about that address rather than an error. Free.
enrich_prospects
Find work emails for a preview list through the organisation’s own BetterContact: keeps every verified address the search already returned and looks up the missing ones. Quoted first and run only after a person approves; refunded for anyone not found.
enrich_people
Find work emails and phone numbers for people already in People through the organisation’s own BetterContact — named people or everyone a Client Search list filed. Only what each is missing is looked up; what is found is saved on them and sent to Agent Eyes. Quoted first and run only after a person approves; refunded for anything not found.
find_contact_phone
Find phone numbers for up to ten people through the organisation’s own BetterContact, filed on them in People for calling. Quoted first and run only after a person approves; refunded for anyone not found.
evaluate_against_goal
Judge whether the film now does what was asked. Maxwell watches the result first — through a reader that is told nothing about what was attempted, so it cannot confirm its own work — and judges that reading against the goal, the plan and the checklist. Every item that passed last time is carried forward and must still pass, so improving the thing you asked for while breaking something that was already right does not count as success. Where a claim in the film was not seen on the screen, that is reported as a divergence. If the goal is not met, the gap is rewritten with what is still missing and you can plan another pass. Priced per minute of film. Poll read_turn. Requires an Imagine Films account.
evaluate_composition
Check a film before handing it back: that every relationship it claims still resolves, that nothing anchored has walked out of frame, that nothing starts after the film ends, and whether it leans on footage nobody has analysed. Structural only — it will not tell you whether the film is good, and says so.
file_inspiration
Put a video the organisation has already kept into a collection. Free. Requires an Imagine Films account.
find_account_triggers
Why this company is worth contacting NOW — a new chief or head of something, money raised, roles being opened, a launch or expansion. Searches news across four kinds and returns each trigger with the URL it came from and when it was published. Quote the source, never the summary. If nothing is found it says so as a fact about the company; if nothing could be searched it REFUSES rather than returning an empty list, because those are opposite answers and look identical. Costs 1 credit, refunded when the search cannot run.
find_contact_email
Find and verify somebody's work address. A cost-ordered waterfall — each provider asked only if the ones above it missed, then the winner verified against the mail server regardless of which rung produced it, because a provider saying 'found' and a mail server saying 'deliverable' are different claims. Returns the status: only 'valid' may be mailed, and a catch-all is a find AND a refusal. Pass person_id to attach the result. Costs 1 credit.
find_the_gap
Measure a film against what it was asked to be. Give it a video sheet id, or the brief or script as text, or both — a brief says why and a sheet says what, and a gap measured against one cannot see the half the other holds. It answers in seven parts: what was asked for that no reading found, what the readings found that nobody asked for, what rests on a single uncorroborated source, the most consequential gap and the smallest change that closes it, which of its own claims are weak, HOW to close each fault — re-render, edit, or a change to the instruction — and what a re-render still could not fix. It is the only pass told what the film was for, and the only one that never sees the film: it reads the three passes and nothing else, so it cannot find its way out of a gap by noticing something they missed. Refuses if the film has not been read in full — a gap against part of a reading is a weak judgement in strong words. Free; the reading is what costs.
forget_inspiration
Take a kept video off the organisation's shelf entirely, and out of every collection it was filed in. This is what Undo calls straight after a keep. The video's measurements stay in the corpus — only the keeping is undone. Free. Requires an Imagine Films account.
get_generation
Status and output URLs for one generation, by request_id. Free.
get_render
Where a render has got to. When it has succeeded this carries a signed url that expires in about an hour — keep asset_id and ask again for a fresh one.
issue_ci_token
Connect a repository, so every push keeps Maxwell current. Returns an `install` command — run it from the repository and you are done. It returns no token on purpose: the credential lives for a year, and the command pipes it straight into GitHub so it never enters this conversation. Do not open the claim URL to inspect it; it works exactly once. Deposit-only — it cannot make a clip or spend a credit.
keep_inspiration
Keep a video somebody else made, so it can be found again and built from. Free, and it fetches nothing: everything stored is what you already have in front of you, which is why this works on Instagram where live research does not. The cover image is copied into the customer's own storage at the moment of keeping, so the shelf still looks like itself long after the platform's link expires. Pass a collection_id to file it at the same time. Requires an Imagine Films account.
list_collections
The organisation's collections of kept videos — name, what the collection is for, how many are in it, and a few covers. Free. Requires an Imagine Films account.
list_deals
This organisation's deals (Relationships → Deals), each with its company, how many people are on the committee, how many discussions exist and how many blackswans have been found. Those counts are the reading — a deal with nobody on it and nothing said is one nobody can prepare for, and the amount is what a spreadsheet already tells you. Free.
list_documents
What this account has kept — names, kinds and lengths, without the words. Call it before find_the_gap to know what a film could be judged against. Free.
list_element_bindings
Every relationship this composition claims, and to what.
list_films
Recent generations for your organisation. Free.
list_video_composition_versions
The history of a video composition — every change, who made it, and how much it changed.
list_video_compositions
List the video compositions on this account, most recently edited first.
make_software_clip
Make a clip about one of the product's screens, from what Maxwell already knows about it. Returns a render that lands in the Library as ordinary media, so compose_film can use it in a longer film.
mark_meeting_held
Say whether a booked meeting actually happened, and how it went. A booked meeting and a held meeting are different facts and only the second one counts. Free.
meetings_awaiting_verdict
Meetings whose time has passed and which nobody has said happened or not. This is where the demo-booked number quietly diverges from the demo-held number. Free.
plan_to_close_the_gap
Turn a gap into something somebody can act on: for each fault, the cheapest route that can actually close it — an edit to the composition, a Seedance `video_edit`, a `video_extension`, a full re-render, or nothing, because some faults have no route and saying so beats paying to find out. Each route is costed at this film's length from the live price table, never from a remembered number, and it ends with one recommended order of work and a brief for the single re-render worth doing. It plans against the envelope the generator actually has — 4–30s, the nine provider rules, what eight generations measured about what a re-render keeps and what it silently loses — so it will not propose something that cannot be executed. It NEVER spends: every costing route comes back as a proposal with a number against it and somebody presses. Free.
propose_meeting_times
Real openings read from a real calendar, inside working hours. Offering them books nothing. Free.
query_footage
Find things inside the footage: people and objects that move ('subject'), spoken words ('word'), musical beats ('beat'), shot changes ('shot'), or notable moments ('moment'). Everything is a span in microseconds against its clip, so results from different analysers line up on one timeline — which is what lets a single request ask for a sound on the beat where a person turns.
plan_goal
Say what has to be TRUE — 'a hundred accounts that fit us, in a sequence by the end of the month' — and this writes a goal and the tasks that reach it into Goals & tasks. Real rows, the ones the board already shows: rename, reorder, reassign or archive them like any other. It carries your number if you gave one and invents one if you did not — so give one. Each task says which kind of work it is, and the ones an agent can run come back marked; the rest are for a person, said plainly rather than drawn as a button that refuses. Nothing starts here: planning and doing are separate presses. Costs 1 credit.
read_saved_list
Read a saved Client Search list by name — everyone on it, with name, title, company, email and LinkedIn, and the People record for those added to People. The name matches whole or in part; leave it out to list every saved list with its count. Free.
read_deal_thread
A deal's emails, calls and meeting transcripts, and its upcoming meetings — what was actually said, for preparing the next step. Free.
list_people
Everyone in this organisation's People (Relationships → People): each person on a deal and each kept contact — person_id, name, title, company, best email, whether a phone is on file, and how many deals they are on. `query` matches name, title, company or email. Use read_person for whether an address may actually be mailed. Free.
read_person
One person in People: their jobs, the deals they are on and their role there, and how they can be reached — every email with whether it may be mailed (and why not), every phone Voice can ring, and `contactable`. Free.
remove_leads
Remove people from People in one go — named people, or everyone a Client Search list put there. Always waits for a person to Approve, shown exactly who and how many. Stops workflows running for them; deals in the CRM are untouched. Free.
list_companies
This organisation's companies (Relationships → Companies): name, domain, industry, size, country and how many deals each has. `query` matches name or domain. Free.
read_deal
One deal with its buying committee, its discussions and every blackswan — each carrying the quote it came from, because the row could not have been written without one. Each person on it says how they can be reached (emails with whether each may be mailed, phones, `contactable`), and `contactable` lists who can be. Also names the people whose role in the decision is still unknown. Free.
read_document
One kept document, with its words. Free.
read_evaluation
The most recent verdict on a composition, with every finding.
read_film_in_full
Read a film the way somebody watching it would, in three passes, and keep what each one says. The first measures what is physically there and may not name a feeling; the second says what a person perceives moment by moment; the third says what the film IS. None of the three is told what the film was made for, which is what makes their agreement worth anything. Several minutes and tens of thousands of words. Costs credits, priced by the film's length. Poll read_full_report — each pass appears as it lands.
read_full_report
Where a full reading has got to, and what one pass said. Returns every pass with its state and length every time; ask for CORE1, CORE2A or CORE2B by name to get that pass's actual words. Free — it starts nothing. It also reports whether the reader was given the film's sound, which matters: a reading made without audio will describe silence, and silence reads like a finding.
read_pairing_document
The collaboration so far, oldest first, so it reads as a conversation. Pass facing='client' for the client-facing document alone; omit it to see both sides.
read_preparation
One preparation with its items, ordered. Free.
read_records
What has gone wrong on a film: what Maxwell claimed against what was actually there, and anything you have told it. Free. Requires an Imagine Films account.
read_screening
What a screening saw, moment by moment — every frame that was looked at, what was on screen, and anything wrong with it. Also says how much has been watched so far, so a screening still running reads as partial rather than as a short film.
read_turn
Where Maxwell has got to: what it understood, the gap it found, the plan and its clashes, which tasks are done and which are not, what it has spent, and which version the film is on. `next` says what to call next. Free, and the way to follow every one of Maxwell's tools — including request_change, whose pursuit id had nothing to read it with before. Give a turn_id, or a composition_id for the most recent turn on that film. Requires an Imagine Films account.
read_video_composition
Read one video composition: its shape, and every element on its timeline with the times it occupies. Returns the version number to pass back when editing.
read_video_reading
What Maxwell saw when it watched: the shots in order, the words on screen, the concerns, and what was heard. Free. Requires an Imagine Films account.
reconcile_tasks
Check a project's task list against what has actually been made in it — the films and whether they have rendered, the master sheets and their scene counts, the museboards, the elements cast — and propose what should change: work the material shows is finished, two tasks that say the same thing, a task whose prerequisite does not exist, work the film obviously needs that nobody has written down. Every finding names what was seen and cites the object ids it reasoned from. PROPOSES ONLY: nothing on the list is created, closed or renamed by this — each proposal waits for a person. A proposal somebody has dismissed is never made again. Costs a model call. Requires an Imagine Films account, and an account whose Maxwell autonomy is set beyond 'ask'.
record_blackswan
Record a discovery about the buying committee that changes how the deal is worked. EVERY blackswan cites its source: a quote, and where the quote is from. The database enforces it, and the reason is that these become the team's shared beliefs about named humans at a customer company. An insight that changes nothing is an observation and belongs elsewhere. Free.
record_mistakes_and_improvements
Tell Maxwell what is wrong — with a film, or with what Maxwell itself did. Your words are kept exactly as you write them and are put in front of Maxwell before it works on that film again. Use it for a fact that is wrong ("the logo is the wrong blue") and just as much for something that is correct and still not right ("it still feels slow") — the second kind is the one nothing else here can hold. Free. Requires an Imagine Films account.
record_prospect
Record a person and where they work. `lawful_basis` says why the row is allowed to exist and is not defaulted silently — storing somebody this system found, rather than one who came to us, makes the business a data controller for a person who never chose to be here. Free.
record_sent
Mark an enrolment's current step as sent, advancing it. Free.
refine_prompt
Take a prompt through the loop until it is clean: check, read, revise, again. The writer is forbidden to pay for an addition by deleting a rule — when the draft is at its ceiling it takes the words from notation or from something stated twice, and if the only way to fit is to spend a constraint it refuses to choose and says which one would have to go. Stops at clean or at three passes, and when it stops short it returns the draft WITH the outstanding findings rather than a draft that hid one. The full trail comes back — every pass, what the checker found, what the reader found, and what changed — so the reasoning can be argued with rather than trusted. Free; only the generation that follows costs.
rename_collection
Rename a collection, and optionally rewrite what it is for. A name is refused here for the same reasons it would be refused at creation — empty, too long, or already taken by another collection in the same organisation. Leaving description out keeps the existing one; sending it replaces it. Free. Requires an Imagine Films account.
render_film
Generate a film from a prompt at a chosen resolution. **This is the tool that spends.** Call render_options first and let somebody choose the rung — the choice is about what can be done next, not about price. Seedance 2.5 renders 4 to 30 seconds in a single pass at 24fps. Aspect ratio is free — only resolution and duration move the bill. The prompt ceiling is 1,000 words; past it the model keeps the key points and drops the detail. Returns a handle immediately; poll get_generation, a film takes minutes.
render_options
What a render would cost at each resolution, in credits, before anything is spent. Free. Two things it will tell you that decide the choice. On a film under a minute all three rungs cost the SAME — generation is charged per minute of output, floored at one — so price is not the lever. And a 480p or 720p render can be edited afterwards while a 1080p one cannot: reference video input caps at 720p, so a finish is not an editable object. Nothing is ever upscaled — there is no upscale mode and no seed, so each rung is a separate film held together only by the prompt.
render_video_composition
Render a composition to an mp4. Returns immediately with a render_id to poll — a minute of film takes a few minutes. The finished film becomes an asset on the account, placeable in another composition.
request_change
Ask for a change in your own words. Maxwell edits, then LOOKS at the result — it samples frames of the film and judges whether the request was actually carried out — and edits again if it was not. Returns immediately with a pursuit id; the outcome, and anything it could not fix, are written into the pairing document. "put the caption below her, not on her", "land the whoosh on the word orchestrate". Maxwell reads the film AND what is known about the footage inside it, works out whether you mean a relationship (this element is about that person, that word) or a property, does it, checks the result, and writes both what changed and why into the pairing document. Anything it could not do comes back in `refused` rather than being approximated.
research_creator
Pull a creator's recent post history live and add it to the corpus, so their videos can be judged against their own baseline. Costs 2 credits, and refunds automatically when the platform declines.
research_video
Pull live data for a video that is not yet in the database, including its full transcript and hook, and add it to the corpus. Costs 1 credit.
restore_video_composition_version
Bring an earlier version of a composition back. Written as a NEW version rather than a rewind, so the restore is itself revertible.
review_prompt
Read a generation prompt the way a creative director does, before anything is generated. A program checks first — the word ceiling, any second the prompt does not account for, phrases lost since the last draft, global rules with nothing scoping them — and a reader is then spent only on what a reader can do: a rule the film itself breaks, a register that argues the opposite of the brief, a restriction whose purpose is missing, a direction that has already failed twice. Every finding comes back with the current line quoted, the replacement written out in full so it can be pasted without further thought, the axis it protects, and what it guards. It also says in one sentence what the film ARGUES and what it was FOR, because a prompt can meet its specification exactly and mean the opposite of its brief. Free.
save_prospects_to_list
Save people into a Client Search list, making the list by name if it does not exist. The last step of building an ICP list. Free.
screen_video_composition
Have Maxwell WATCH the whole film, start to finish, and write down what is on screen. Not a check against a request — a reading of the film itself: one frame every few seconds, each described, with a concern raised only where something is genuinely wrong (black picture, text off the edge, text over a face, a failed asset). Use it before sending a film to anyone, and after a run of edits. Returns immediately with a screening id; it fills in as it watches, and read_screening returns what it has so far. Structural checks pass at full marks on a film whose middle is black — this is the only thing here that catches that.
search_prospects
Find people or companies to contact in the Client Search database from a set of filters — titles, company size, industries, places. Returns how many match and the first rows. Free.
sending_status
Each sending domain's warm-up day, daily cap and remaining capacity. Most 'no reply' is undelivered rather than uninterested, and this is where that shows. Free.
suppress_person
Never contact this address, or this whole domain, again. Adding one is cheap and the mistake it prevents is not — nothing here removes a suppression. Free.
unbind_element
Take a relationship off. Kept in history rather than deleted — when a client asks why something moved, the answer has to still exist.
understand_goal_gap
Work out the distance between the film as it is and what you asked for. Not a list of edits — an account of what is missing, what is wrong, what does not go far enough, and what must NOT change. If the goal is about the film as a whole, Maxwell reads the whole composition first, which takes longer and is the only way to answer honestly. Nothing is edited. Poll read_turn. Requires an Imagine Films account.
understand_human
Start Maxwell on a change to a film. Say what you want in your own words — ambitious is fine, this is the tool for “make the middle third feel urgent”. Maxwell reads it against the film and says back what it understood; where two readings would make different films it asks, with real options, rather than guessing. Nothing is edited by this call. Poll read_turn for what it understood, then call understand_goal_gap. Requires an Imagine Films account.
understand_software
Deposit what a product's screens are, so films can be made about them. Send one entry per surface: its route, what it is for, and either a description of it, inert markup, or an image. Call it again when a surface changes — the previous version is kept, which is what makes a before-and-after possible. Give each surface its product, and a line within that product if it has one. A placement a person has already corrected is never overwritten. Returns the current product map. Images MUST be data URIs; a URL renders blank.
understand_video
Watch a film and say what is actually on the screen — shots, what changes, words you could read, where the eye goes, and anything genuinely wrong like a blank stretch or text off the edge. This is an observation, not an opinion: it is told nothing about what the film was trying to do, which is what makes it worth trusting when it disagrees with the record. Priced per minute of film. Requires an Imagine Films account.
unfile_inspiration
Take a video out of a collection. It stays on the shelf — this removes the grouping, never the keeping. Free. Requires an Imagine Films account.
watch_video_composition
A link that plays this film in a browser, for someone with no account here — hand this to a client rather than making them wait for a file. It starts instantly, costs nothing, and always shows the CURRENT cut: edit the composition and the same link shows the change. Use render_video_composition instead when they need an actual file to send somewhere, which freezes one version and takes minutes.
write_pairing_note
Add to the record of this collaboration. facing='client' is what the client reads — what changed and why. facing='internal' is what we read: what was tried, what was rejected, what the evaluation actually said. Append-only, because an answer to 'why is the logo there' has to be what was said at the time.

A different list: the controls a person clicks, named so you can see what each one calls. These are not served over MCP — setting an aspect ratio on a page nobody is looking at does nothing.
